Missoni - Women's and Men's Spring/Summer 2020 collection in Milan (with interview)
Designer: angela missonicollection: a mixed summer wardrobe paraded around a huge outdoor pool in milan, inspired by the famous couple jane birkin and serge gainsbourg.the silhouette is slender, fluid and with light prints. there’s a series of long and bohemian dresses and flared trousers, all made in a patchwork of prints, mixing flowers, polka dots, graphic patterns and the iconic zig zag stitch. for the evening, the wardrobe sparkles even more, always with a touch of romance and joy of life.to note: the low-cut dresses with backs decorated with small bows. the superimposed stiches, the small baskets that are filled with flowers and the scarves that tie at the waist, around the neck or in the hair. interview :angela missoni :i had a memory, i wanted to have boys and girls, i wanted to have a romantic story. and i came across a couple, who were the couple of my heart when i was a young teenager, it was serge gainsbourg and jane birkin. so, it’s a little saint tropez, a little capri… and that’s why the boys and girls swap clothes: she takes a piece from his wardrobe and he takes some details from her wardrobe, it’s very romantic on one hand but sometimes there can be suits… but everything is in a very light, easy to mix and spontaneous way. fluid, there is a lot of colour, there are very feminine dresses too. there is a romantic side but it isn’t retro. i had some starting points but i believe it’s still a job for boys and girls today. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
