Artistic director: christelle kocher location: the big salon at the accorhotels arena.collection: an optimistic, collective, joyful and energetic collection based on a mix of sportswear influence and chic feminine clothing with velvet dresses strew with pieces of lace and asymmetric cuts.colour and the mix & match of patterns invade this wintery wardrobe. references to sport and football are illustrated in particularly on an oversized bomber jacket in the shape of a ball worn with a trouser that tightens at the bottom with metallic buckles.note: blousons and jackets entirely embroidered with sequins, the majestic hat with marabout feathers, trainers and clothes made in collaboration with nike through old t-shirts from international football teams.interview with christelle kocher:this season the first approach i worked was on sportswear and everything it includes but not as a variation of masculine sportswear where we would just alter the cuts. it’s a tribute to women’s bodies and to women in order to empower them and give them energy and strength, but also to take back their clothes and look at their positive side using comfortable materials mixed with craftsmanship, lace and feathered embroideries.we have also sometimes worked with cuts and volume often inspired by soccer balls that we have used to shape coats, sleeves and skirts.i have put a lot of work onto the female body. i actually work directly on the models and on their bodies to give them comfort where they need it most.this season we collaborated with nike on our shoes and clothes. we used different t-shirts from different city’s sports teams around the world so we had t-shirts from barcelona, milan, paris saint germain, portland and we deconstructed them and mixed them with french lace.it’s an open style that talks to people and the world, and i believe that fashion has the power to change things like in sport.music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
