Versace’s Autumn/Winter 2019 Pre-Collection in New York

On Sunday 2nd December, Versace showed in New York for the very first time with their autumn/winter 2019/20 men’s and women’s pre-collection in front of an audience filled with American celebrities.Location: New York, with the Statue of Liberty’s torch at the centre of a circular podium.Artistic Director: Donatella VersaceCollection: A collection for men and women. A sensual silhouette, highlighting the feminine body through cropped tops, slit skirts, minidresses and miniskirts in colourful vinyl, decorated with golden Medusa buttons as well as printed outfits.We see the Italian brand’s eccentric and iconic motifs printed all over leggings, tops and jackets. Slit dresses are held together by safety pins, a series of short dresses as well as silhouettes with asymmetric cuts and a black and white zebra print also shown in brighter colours.A collection which ends by paying tribute to New York, with Pop Art heart patterns on a long shirtdress with a plunging neckline worn by former top model Amber Valletta.A dream casting including Kaia Gerber, Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski.Accessories: Colourful trainers in eccentric patterns, silk headscarves and a Medusa pattern as decoration.On the front row: Blake Lively, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Uma Thurman, Diane Kruger and Paris Jackson…
