Paris Fashion Week: Paris gives power to women!!! A look back at the week.

Paris closes a month of fashion weeks. nine days of shows in the capital, with eclectic collections, bringing together creativity and desirability, with a sense of décor, and an emphasis on product and artisanal savoir faire. a look back at the iconic moments which marked this fashion week: renaissances, confirmation of talent and the supremacy of the big french fashion houses.dior opened the festivities with a strong message: a celebration of the may 1968 protests, and as is often the case with maria grazia chiuri, the feminist revolution, resonating with reality and depicted on the catwalk. magazine covers placarded the floors and walls whilst the catwalk saw patchworks, colours and a blend of archive floral prints. in the evening saint laurent honoured paris, with a black box erected at the foot of the eiffel tower. here the discourse was similarly fixed and determined. the woman imagined by anthony vaccarello assumes her femininity and new sensuality, revealing her legs and body with radiance!!but certainly paris is also an extraordinary window of opportunity to confirm talent: notably the rising power of jacquemus with his latest announcement of a menswear line plastered onto his sweater!!then there were confirmed test runs by natacha ramsay levi at chloé, who imposed her style and ultra-fresh vision of the chloé woman. a second success from clare waight keller at givenchy, with women enveloped in faux fur, and a wardrobe that brings together sophistication and a very modern glamour. another venerable house with hitchcock-like décor was hermès, set at the victor duruy high school, with a red gravel catwalk, orange lighting and mysterious women dressed in leather. the renaissance of poiret, after 90 years of inactivity, and a first well-done collection by yiqing yin, the franco-chinese 33 year old who woke up sleeping beauty with volume and a sense of purity!without forgetting stella mccartney, and the question on everyone’s lips, will she stay in partnership with kering? an autumnal collection in a chic forest at the house of chanel…with karl lagerfeld who never fails to surprise us….an ending orchestrated with vigour by louis vuitton and nicholas ghesquière, in the ‘cour lefuel’ courtyard at the louvre, with a wardrobe that brings together historical references but above all hybrid, futuristic pieces. paris is a party, as proved once again this season!! music bandit & nikit - 2018
