Collection: following the departure of massimo giorgetti and after a season of reflection, the house returns to milan’s catwalk, with a collection (conceived by the studio) which takes the house of emilio pucci into a more modern, youthful era. with an assumed femininity, new volumes by way of padded materials and prints both new and from the archives. a sport touch, the true dna of the brand, is present through puffer jackets, tapered lines and quilted scarves. focus also on the zipped and signed capes, the long flared skirts, the fluid dresses gathered at the waist and the vibrant colours which pep up this wardrobe.to note: the small slip dresses and others which float on the body in reflective satin, accessorized with long attractive chains. +the big totes and minaudières. interview:i think that it’s more than a new era, i think that today we’re seeing continuity, we have a pucci spirit of continuity, things that we know but with quite a modern twist, so the inspiration is hollywood, it’s the idea of an america that my father really likes, which falls a bit into marilyn monroe, so it’s wink to her because she dressed in pucci, we see that in the plain jersey dresses, with very dusty and clear tones. and then it goes a little bit into a sporty feel, something again that my father loved, so there are very clear points of the pucci history, but turned into today, so i think that what we feel like, is something that’s easy to wear, a nice style, and i think it’s done well. we have four prints, two new and two old, the floral, is from the archives, the one with the more soft colours is new and modern, then this ‘postcard’ print is slightly a hollywood postcard, that we also find on bags etc, it’s also new but it’s only us who know that, normally people can’t tell between the two, old or new, and that’s good, that’s continuity and that’s the consistency of the brand.music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
