Designer : adam andrasciksilhouette : a sensual and futuristc time, younger with mini skits and very short dressesfocus on : the search for materials and new techniques the trench coat and very short blousons destructed skirts, with lots of parts of fabricto note : the fine knit top, simple and functional for summerinterview with adam andrascik :it was about an idea of separates which is a big part of his heritage but it was also about having a more simplicity to the styling so if you’re wearing a really great trouser then, that is the statement piece that you want to wear the way that a normal person would wear it, with a t-shirt or a tank top, so it was really about that, like we have a statement skirt or a statement coat, it was about how would we wear this in a context that’s not the runway but still keep it fresh, so that was basically the ethos behind this collection.i wanted to do something with transparency but i didn’t want it to be so obvious as i just used a very light chiffon so we started to look at tech fabrics and then it led into this other area which is a latex which had powder blown on top of it and then it sits into the body of it so some of the finishes are very experimental and newguy laroche in the archive used to do a lot of embroideries and colour mixing clashing prints and all of that, i thought how can we going to update this for the modern woman, we do it as details, if you’re going to splash it on the side of the trouser, then you have to basically figure out have to hone down the look and make it more modern at the same time, so that’s sort of how we went with that.music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
