Facetasm - MENSWEAR collection spring/summer 2017 in Paris (with interview)

Designer: Hiromichi OchiaiInspiration: The male codes reinvented with winks to work uniforms; military, sportswear, masculine tailoring. The black and white checkerboard becomes a leitmotif.Silhouette: Relaxed, fluid and rather loose. A mix of fabrics on one same piece and details of openings and ties finishing a coat.Focus on: jogging bottoms split on the side, the shirt that ends in coloured elastic bands.+ The t-shirt printed with small black & white checks, with the back all in feathersNote: The women cat walking at the same time with more intended volumes like the trousers finishing in rufflesInterview from Hiromichi Ochiai:My collection is all about Tokyo, so Tokyo was always my inspiration.Mixing the codes and mixing the details is always what I have done; so I did my own thing. I always do that because I make unique items but simple items too so to unbalance the style and bring more of a mixture to the collection. These days people are always talking about the question of cross gender but with Facetasm I have shown men and women since 2011 so it is a very normal thing for me, very normal and a very natural thing to show women’s and men’s together in a show.Music of the show, do not reuse for more than 7 days after the show
