Akris Spring Summer Women Collection 2013 in Paris (itw)
For 90 years of akris, albert kriemler, the artistic director of the house and the grand-son of the founder, wanted a show with 90 looks in the middle of a garden reconstructed in a robert burle marx style, a famous architect of green spaces, which has greatly inspired this summer 2013 collection. stones become embroideries, mesh takes the form of plants and natural tones dominate. the designer by no means falls too deep in tribute and has a delivered a modern collection consisting of a complete wardrobe created in materials that are both comfortable and luxurious. the swiss label still had a bright future ahead and can count on the famous clients like charlène, princess of monaco, present in the room or michelle obama to continue to promote this brand.

albert kriemler : this collection is inspired by roberto burle marx, a famous garden architect from south america. he's an architect like oscar niemeyer, who hated straight lines, he preferred the sensual lines, clearly recognizable, with a softness and always respecting nature. and i was very inspired by this because at the end it is very feminine, it's architectural and i used all this nature. also stones, i did embroidery with stones and for mesh, i was inspired by plants. we used sequins which were similar to bookbsbaum..i found all this nature from south america incredible, it's green throughout the year. and finally we have also built our own garden at the palais de chaillot.
it all starts with fabrics and this time because we are celebrating 90 years, we have therefore created 90 looks. it's a really big show, it will not be a long one, but for once in my life i wanted to be able to do a fashion show with 90 looks.
