Sportswear Fabric Trends - Fall/Winter 2018-19 (Italtex)

The general trend shows the evolution of last winter basis: the boundaries between formal and casual are partially blurred, week-end and working time clothing always differ less and the most important colours are almost classic.
 
Outerwear is multifunctional: light and easy with soft or paper hand, strong and enriched with finishing treatments, or two-layers with one printed face or jersey as reverse.

Jackets and coat are usually in wool, sometimes coarse and rustic and sometimes resin coated.

 
For pants, tiny motifs in cotton continue to be in demand particularly when elasticated and deriving from small scale jacquards, or in innovative soft finishes, as velvet, cord and chenille are back.

Soft wool mixtures with loose constructions are instead used for wide pants lines, while tartan style plaids are usually dark and low contrast, in elastic cotton.

The range of blue remains protagonist, adding some violet cast shades to the greyed and traditional navy and midnight hues. Important are the colours related to the environment: beige both in the neutral and orange hint tones, foliage and pine green hues.
