Tommy Hilfiger Show -Men's and women's Collection Spring/Summer 2018 in Milan (with interviews)

Designers: Tommy Hilfiger & Gigi HadidInspiration: Sports car racingCollection: Spring/Summer 2018, on sale immediately after the show, the designer is a pioneer of ‘See now, Buy now’. After New York, Los Angeles and London, the Tommy show makes a stop in Milan for a high speed show, with race cars centre stage and a race track serving as a catwalk. A mixed collection, based around sports car racing but also the America dear to Tommy Hilfiger. Fashion which blends streetwear and sportswear with athletic, dynamic and slightly sensual silhouettes. A wardrobe which plays with proportions and unexpected mixes with a graphic interpretation of stripes and checkerboard patterns. Focus: on the bandeau tops, the skinny leather trousers, the racing jumpsuits in printed denim, a short anorak, the logo found on a sweat and the favourite colours of the brand on a top. Plus, American flag placarded on a trouser pocket. + The last look worn by Gigi Hadid, a long asymmetric dress with XXL logos. To note: after two years of this collaboration, the top model releases her final collection with the American designer. A wave, side by side, and a last lap for Gigi and Tommy! Interviews: Tommy Hilfiger: I think that Milan is one of the most important fashion capitals of the world, and if it’s good enough for Mr Armani, Miuccia Prada, the Missonis, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, it’s good enough for me. I’m very honoured to be here, I love the city, I love the food, I love the shopping, and I love the Italian people. It’s really about auto-sports, motor sports, it’s about speed racing with a lot of the inspiration coming from authentic speed racing gear. Technical fabrications, colour blocking, very very specific fit, cool, casual, street fashion that is both classic and modern, Californian styles, but with a global appeal. Manuela Sanchez: It’s very nice, everything is very amazingFran Summers: Tommy Hilfiger, it’s just really individual and it just speaks to anyone and I think everyone can wear it and sort of speak their own mind with it. There’s no specific way of wearing it you can use it for whatever and it’s always stylish and I always love it. Adesuwa Aighewi: I would say that all-American attire is pretty cool. It’s actually the essential all-American designer, Tommy. Imari Karanja: It represents confidence, I think it represents casualness whilst still being fashionable, that’s what I love about Tommy Hilfiger, you can really dress him up or dress him down, I think that’s also what is good about Tommy Hilfiger, the versatility. Because in the show there are girls with dresses and then there’s sneakers. I’m wearing heels! So that just proves as like a testament to the versatility of Tommy Hilfiger and how he can be casual or not, or very formalMusic from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
