Artistic Director: Alessandro Dell’AcquaAtmosphere: black décor and red lighting at the Pavillion Ledoyen, for the presentation of the new Rochas women’s collection, fluctuating between the glorious past and the modern future. Collection: It’s a story of volume in this new collection, with ruffles and puffed out sleeves for new dresses and princely outfits. Alessandro Dell’Acqua carries out real work on the materials, such as the brocade embroidered with gold or silver thread, taken from old Japanese fabric. Knotting is never far and appears on the nude backs as well as the shoes. To note: Many pieces such as a dress or a jacket are reversible and can be worn inside out for a silver version. Interview with Alessandro Dell'AcquaThe volume is very Rochas heritage because I looked at lot at the old Rochas but I wanted a new modernity for this situation. I’ve mixed heritage with orientalism. For me Rochas is a couture maison not haute couture, but a couture maison. Sensuality is very important for me, the femininity and the sensuality, it’s not sexy-it’s sensuality.
