What's new ? Fashion News and Events

September arrives together with news and events in the fashion world. And to start are the big exhibtions not to miss in the coming months…The seventh installment for Culture Chanel. After Séoul, the house with the double C will put on a rendez-vous in Venice, chosing this time to correlate Coco Chanel and its relationship with books. To follow the first big exhibition retracing the work of Martin Margiela in the Palais Galliera from the end of October. Photographers will also be in a position of honour, notably Herb Ritts in Paris or Diane Arbus in New York. Finally, the first museum of perfume that will open in Paris at the end of this year, has already caused a big stir….Another event, and a first for Vogue Paris that launches its Vogue Fashion Festival in November, providing seminars, meetings and events. As for Franca Sozzani, the editor in chief who has been very influential at Vogue Italie over the last 28 years, she will be the subject of a film retracing her life and directed by her own son. It has already been presented at the Venice fim festival as well as the second film by Tom Ford. Indisputably, fashion and cinema have never been closer. We see this equally in the choice of muses. The new campaigns have just been launched, with their collection of actors and actreses. We think of Chanel with Lily Rose Depp for perfume and Willow Smith on the accessories front. The stars of fashion are not taking a back seat however, notably the Hadid sisters can be found in numerous adverts, as well as Kendall Jenner. A thematic touch to adverts, the effect of groups and of bands seems to work well for big houses like Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Miu Miu but the theme of dance still remains and can be found with beauty at Valentino, with Balmain and their invitee star Kanye West, or with the heart stopper for Kenzo World, the new perfume and its whacky advert directed by Spike Jonze and interpreted by the sensational Margaret Qualley. Other fashion sensations, the collaborations don’t stop, Kenzo and H&M planned for autumn is already hotly anticipated. Before that we can amuse oursleves with the latest collab between Charlotte Olympia and Barbie, and Uniqlo misses nothing especially with their invitee designers such as Christophe Lemaire and Inès de la Fressange.
