Gianfranco Ferré- Spring Summer Women Collection 2013 in Milan (itw)

Difficult task for the duo, Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi, who arrived at the House just one year ago, to continue to perpetuate the values of its founder, Gianfranco Ferré. Especially since the label was bought by Paris group, a Dubai company who may wish to repatriate all the studios to the Emirates. Yet we still find the essence that made Ferré a success, with architectural cuts, in black and white, luxurious materials like python, gazar, crêpe. There is heightened sensuality with ultra short skirts and dresses, bustiers highlighting the shoulders. Colours are only found in the final, with a tribute to photographer Guy Bourdin, a close collaborator of Gianfranco Ferré.

Interview Stefano Citro :It's a tribute, but it's also a new situation, we took the DNA of the house, but we made it more for the day, for the street, it's more alive, it's a brand that's alive and we needed to do something strong.

It's a very graphic collection, we really wanted to do something very elaborate concerning the materials and also the silhouette.

Federico Piaggi :The colours are a coup de theatre, this is a tribute to photographer Guy Bourdin, who worked with Mr. Ferré for advertising campaigns.
